Emergency & Disaster Relief
In times of emergency, First Commercial Bank has mortgage relief programs in place to help you while you get back on your feet.
First Commercial Bank is here to help.
Natural disasters can have a significant impact on many of our customers, their families, and their communities. We would like to reassure those of you affected that we are here to help you during this difficult time with emergency relief.
If your home is in a FEMA-disaster area, we have already added you to a list of customers who:
- Are eligible for enrollment in a 90-day Disaster Relief Program—permitting three months of payment flexibility following the disaster declaration date and offering repayment solutions for those who cannot make up the payments during the impacted period. Please review the Disaster Relief Program Section for additional information.
- Will not be charged any late fees for 90 days.
- Will not have negative credit information reported to the credit bureaus for 90 days, ensuring your credit score won’t be affected by your missed payments.
Disaster Relief Program
First Commercial Bank has a special, no-paperwork Disaster Relief Program that will offer you payment flexibility following the disaster declaration date and will help you manage the payments that will be due at the end of the 90-day period. If you choose to opt-in to the program, we will work with you on establishing a repayment plan and review all additional options. This includes financial hardship relief and many loan modification options that could potentially include term extensions, interest rate adjustments, and payment relief.

However, if you are in a FEMA-designated area, for three (3) months following the disaster declaration date, or as long as your property remains in a FEMA declared disaster area, we will:
- Automatically block negative credit reporting
